In a special edition of "Les Imprevus" created for BMC STREAM, four dancers from the company have collaborated with scenography students from the Pavillon Bosio ESAP in Monaco to step across the curtain and touch the art of choreography. Thanks to our unique multi-camera technology, you can immerse yourself into the show with an entirely new experience, which includes both studio rehearsals, stage rehearsal, and the live performance all interchangeable with a single click! I. BESETZUNG: Inspired by Denis Villeneuve's film Arrival, Besetzung (occupation) combines dance and theater and tells us about a place where a person would come to have the moments of his life removed from his memory that are painful or obsolete. The dancers collide and become one with the decor. They don't just come to dance there, they come to invest in it. Here, the stage space is a place made and constructed by memory, by science and the flow of information. Choreography: Asier Edeso Erguía Video: Macarena Vilches Sets: Justine Capron Sound composition: Jishuang Zheng Costumes: Lennart Radtke Graphic design: Justine Capron and Macarena Vilches Cast: Benjamin Stone, Elena Marzano, Mimoza Koike, Cristian Assis, Anissa Bruley, Christian Tworzyanski, Anna Blackwell. Duration: 20 minutes II. APOLEMIA: Through the theme of cloning, Francesco Mariottini imagines a dystopia in which a character tries to break the circle that imprisons him. The subject deals with the consequences of an authoritarian and energy-intensive system of overproduction which reduces the human being to a replaceable object. The ballet suggests a future ruled by a machine inspired by magnetic airport gates and other control systems. He thus addresses issues such as facial recognition, planned obsolescence, the aging of the population and the machine that replaces humans. Choreography: Francesco Mariottini Scenography: Jordan Reclus, Lucas Compagnoni Composition: Jordan Reclus Cast: Daniele Del Vecchio, Alexandre Joaquim Duration: 10 min SHE (X): A work about women… how they react to outside energies, how they deal with their feelings. Sometimes they give up to be accepted and sometimes they decide to fight. “When I first experienced motherhood my outlook changed dramatically,” says the choreographer. With this project, I sought to expose my new perception of what being a woman means to me. I'm not claiming anything, but it's impossible to talk about roses without mentioning their thorns." Choreography: Anjara Ballesteros Scenography, Lights: Lili Graille Sound: James Kennedy Costumes: Lennardt Radtke, Anjara Ballesteros, Lili Graille Cast: Alessandra Tognoloni - Candela Ebbesen - Hannah Wilcox - Portia Soleil Adams - Lydia Wellington -Taisha Barton-Rowledge. Duration: 15 min IV. ALICE: The ballet takes as its starting point Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll. We follow Alice who questions her identity as she meets the characters in the novel. The Alice ballet plays on the transition from the real world to the “Wonderland”, thanks to changes of scenery and transformation of costumes that reveal each character. Choreography: Adam Reist Scenography, lights and costumes: Coraline Delorme, Thomas Guillaume, Sabrina Durbano, Célia Hue. Music: Alice album by Tom Waits.
